What leaves the dish
Your text, or your image converted to a PNG under 150 KB, is encoded onto a 2 to 5 GHz carrier and emitted as a directed radio burst. That band passes through the atmosphere with minimal scattering, the same window NASA used for Voyager and Pioneer.
How far it goes
Radio waves travel at the speed of light, 299,792 km every second, and there is no theoretical limit to how far they carry. Your signal passes the Moon in 1.3 seconds, Mars in minutes, Voyager 1 in about a day, and Proxima Centauri in 4.24 years. It never stops.
What proves it
The payment transaction on Robinhood Chain commits a hash of exactly what you sent. SpaceSpeak returns a message id for the broadcast. Both sit on your record in the signal field, so anyone can check the chain and the transmitter agree.
